The Faculty of Management (FOM), Tribhuvan University has its ultimate objective of educating students for professional pursuits in business, industry, banking and government service. It is further dedicated to contributing for increasing the knowledge and understanding of business and public administration. In this pursuit, FOM aims to develop networking with management institutes in the country and abroad to exchange new knowledge, technology and methods of higher level efficiency in management of business and public entities. It also aims to continuously innovate and promote cost effective, socially relevant, modern technology based educational programmes in Nepal.

  *Preparing professional managers capable of handling business in a dynamic global environment.
  *Producing socially responsible & creative entrepreneurs capable of promoting business & industry for the socio-economic development of Nepal.
  *Conducting research & management development to prepare programs to update the knowledge and basic skills of academicians & managers.
  *Innovating and promote management programmers catering to the various social and economic sectors in Nepal.
  *Establishing linkages with leading universities and management institutes abroad and collaborate with them in programmed development & implementation.
  *Preparing students to take-up middle level managerial positions in the business sector.
  *Developing students' skill in object-oriented business management capable of understanding & solving practical business problems creatively.
  *Providing professional management education with a blend of computer & management information system.

Eligibility For Admission

 

The candidate applying for BBA program must have :

 
  *Successfully completed a twelve-year schooling or its equivalent from any university / board.
  *Secured at least second division in the 10+2, PCL or equivalent program.
  *Compiled with all the application procedures.

Admission Criteria

 
Written test: Applicants are required to appear in the entrance test (CMAT) conducted by the Faculty of Management of TU. Students must secure a minimum of 40% in the entrance test (CMAT) in order to qualify for the interview. The test will follow the standard testing patterns and may include areas like verbal ability, quantitive ability, logical reasoning & general awareness.

Passing Grade and Grading System

 
Student must secure a minimum of grade ‘c’ or grade point average (GPA) of 2.0 in the internal evaluation in order to qualify to appear in the semester examination. In order to pass the semester examination the student must secure a minimum of grade ‘c’ or the cumulative grade point average (CGPA) of 2.0 students who secure a semester grade of ‘d’ will not be promoted to the next semester.
