Master of Business Studies (MBS)

KIST College of Management, affiliated to Tribhuvan University and established in 2002, also offers Master’s Degree Programme in Business Studies - Master of Business Studies (MBS) is a two year academic programme under the faculty of Management of Tribhuvan University. It is especially designed to impart both theoretical and practical knowledge in different sectors of business and management. KIST has been running the MBS programme in the morning shift.

Aims and Objectives

• To provide quality education at a reasonable cost.
• To produce qualified and competent professionals who shall serve the society at large.
• To Encourage research and development activities on different emerging issues.
  

Eligibility for Admission

The candidate applying for MBS program must have :

• The candidates must have successfully completed the Bachelor level in Management/commerce or an equivalent degree from any other university/board recognized by Tribhuvan University with a minimum of second division marks.
• They should follow all other basic admission procedures as per the rules and regulations of Tribhuvan University or the campus.
  

ATTENDANCE, EVALUATION AND GRADING SYSTEM

• The students will be evaluated according to the evaluation and grading system of the Office of the Controller of Examinations, Tribhuvan University. However, there is also a provision of Internal assessment evaluation which constitutes 20% marks.
• In order to qualify for the annual examination, students must have a mininmum of 70% attendace of the classes actually held.
• Students are required to attend all lectures, seminars, workshops and presentations regularly.

Passing Grade and Grading System

The grading system in the annual examinations is as follows:

Rules & Regulations

1. No student will be allowed leave on any ground, what so ever for more than 7 days in a term. Leave application must be submitted in Advance.
2. 85% Attendance is mandatory.
3. Out passes :- Only in case of emergency, student will be allowed to leave the campus with permission from the principal.
4. Gum :- Gum chewing, smoking is strictly prohibited in the campus premises or in the classroom.
5. Tests and Exam :- There will be unit tests and terminal examinations in one academic year. The marks of each unit test will be 20 terms exam of 80 marks.
6. Students must appear for all exams.
7. Must be dressed in KIST Uniform.
8. Student must maintain strict discipline.
